It's amazing how things can change in just a few hours. Somehow I went from Frustrated Princess to a very perplexed damsel as my knight seemed to be more of a dragon of sorts. Instead of a shiny white horse and Excalibur at his side he brought along Sleeping with Sirens and an array of attractive body piercings. I am not very picky when it comes to how my knights and pages look, but I will admit that I am heavily attracted to the /rebel/ look, not personality of course, but the general, pierced ears, lips and anything else they think its a good idea to plug with holes. Just as the same as before we're going to refer to this particular vigilante knight as Deku, as I like to call him because of his actual namesake.
Deku calls himself a trouble maker and I would tend to agree. He's a high school drop out but is only seventeen and back in class to try and get his GED. Unlike most hole filled seventeen year old boys, Deku is pleasant and doesn't seem to have to make a joke about a penis to be humorous. He walks around with his skateboard and barely focus's on what the teacher says but at this point I don't think anyone has been doing that so I don't hold to much against him for it. It is math after-all. What drew me to him was that at first I was very wary of him, I've seen his slack short skateboard toting ass before on other not so charming males. The thing was, despite his bored expressions during class and obvious lack luster attention to the booklet in front of him he didn't act like a complete social leper. I am very use to my advances toward anyone, friendly, or flirty going very, unreceived. At the point of my introduction to him I didn't say or do anything that would remind someone of flirting of course, it was more of a conversation opener. I asked him if he knew about the band Sleeping with Sirens, one of my favorite punk bands. He replied back in the note I had sent that he'd just been listening to them. Then it was as if the door had opened to a very interesting development.
After a few note tosses back and forth I found myself overwhelmed by his exceptionally dorky response in which he wrote down lyrics that happen to contain my name. Those lyrics belonging to the song Amber by Stick To Your Guns. Now I have heard this song only once before and quite forgot it existed. So you can be certain I was quite flattered and confused for several minutes after reading what he'd scribbled down. He said he'd just been listening to it for a few minutes earlier but the fact that he knew my name was related to the song made me very suspicious he wrote it down on purpose. Whether or not he did isn't entirely the point as it was still adorably charming. Now before you all go off the rails and tell me to be careful of the peirced dragon that had curled his way around my defenses I will say I am not letting him get to me that easily. I know his type, and I know there is a very good chance that he's probably selling weed on the side and doing his best to be the laziest person around. However I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he's at least trying to better himself. Unlike half the students in the class with us he's one of the few who doesn't brag about getting high, admittedly he did admit to getting into bars because he looks so much older then he is, but again, I am sort of on the fence about what I think about that, seeing as again he didn't stay on the subject long and sort of rolled back into some other subject.
So we'll see how this continues. I never really thought about it, but maybe the dragon that guards the tower isn't evil at all, it's simply just like every other knight that comes trotting by, only it isn't necessarily handsome, and doesn't speak of fake virtue. It is raw, and never noticed.
A moment of my day condensed into a blog. Though I may talk about other things, such as my favorite movies and what I like to do when I am not defending myself against a horde of depression.

Frustrated Princess
So as you all might not know I am doing the GED program right now. I would have graduated with a diploma if I hadn't chosen to home-school virtually for my twelfth grade year. So yes I am seventeen getting my GED degree. Anyhow this is not what the post is about. Instead I am talking about a boy. For the past week I have been almost hopeless of finding anyone that isn't a complete idiot in these classes. I don't even mean at the intellectual level, I am referring to social ineptitude. It wasn't until one very adorable gentleman waltzed into my ABE Math class.
I do know his name but for privacy and embarrassment sake we will call this boy Jerry. Jerry seemed to stand at around five foot eight or so, he wasn't extraordinarily tall, he was also slightly bulky, but not in a chubby rolly polly way, but in a shorter guy who works out a bit way. His skin was really tanned naturally and by the way he seemed to talk and based on his name I would have guessed that he was atleast part Hawaiian. I ended up having an excuse to sit next to him as my friend, we shall call her, Jenny, was sitting at a seat that was one over from him. SO WOO, for me. Atleast so I thought. I moved my way in there, made a few jokes, and did all the things most people do when trying to get to know a person. He was perfect, he was even planning on going into the same Vocational program as I was. I thought I had everything sold, that was until he noticed a very blonde, very chest set girl at the computer behind him.
I had lost the battle of love quite fast after that I realized. Despite meeting the final task of giving him my number I knew that I would never receive a text or call as this girl was the stereotypical cheerleader body that all guys want while I'm skinny and child like in appearance. It certainly didn't help she was giving him the cute eye and smile that all the boys love. So there I was trying not to make a complete idiot of myself. I have a feeling that they'll get along great seeing how much they were talking after they left class. Which is depressing for me as I am back to square one of male window shopping. There are not many to choose from sadly. Maybe I'll have better luck next time. I admit I am no damsel in distress and am not overly desperate for a male or female companion but it would be nice to have some attractive male talk to me in class. As I've never had any good looking young fella pay attention to me except over the internet and that's just not the same thing.

Early Morning Start
You know when you wake up in the morning your either very determined to go back to bed or you find yourself rolling off the side and onto the floor like the opening to a classic 90's cartoon? Neither of these ended up being my morning. Now to give some background, I have not been feeling up to stature health wise for the past few days and so my usual routine to ally my losing white blood cells to the germ horde is to sleep in. So, as it is Sunday morning I was hoping I would get in a few extra hours of REM. Perhaps a month ago I wouldn't have been as hopeful as my parents are avid church goers and that automatically makes me one as well. However for the past few weeks it seems as though they have gotten away from going to church every Sunday. Which would hopefully mean a won battle with whatever sickness has invaded my tiny body. This is not the case unfortunately.
Instead I found myself uncouthly awoken by my mothers distinctively shrill voice. Now mind you there is a difference between her normal voice and the voice she uses when she is ungodly annoyed with me. So as you would expect I was up and out of bed quickly as not to anger the dragon any further then I had. I was unceremoniously unequipped for the dragon slaying battle as it appeared it had grown a second head in the form of my father. Now I don't know home any people when they first wake up are alert enough to listen to a stream of fire in the form of a heated lecture, but I can honestly say I am not one of them.
By this point you have either stopped reading or are waiting for me to tell you why on earth I am writing a blog post on being awoken by my early bird parents. Here is the simple reason. They woke me up over a dishwasher. Now, let me explain in full why this is so significant. It is my job as daughter to put dishes in the dishwasher. A simple enough task in which I can do mildly without complaint. Occasionally I ignore my mother's ridiculous order to wash the pans in the sink instead of putting them in the washer. The reason I do this is because normally the dishwasher is almost completely full and has a little space to fit one or two pans in without hindering its functions. Why on earth my mother is so insistent on the pans being washed every time I will never understand. Anyway, that is not the point I am trying to make. The point I am trying to make is that they called me out of sleep to talk about how the dishwasher had managed to not wash about five percent of the dishes that were in it and had left quite a splotchy mess of itself.
Now, I am not a electrician nor a plumber, I do not intend to be either. Ironically my father is, which makes this worse. Apparently, from what I could gather in my dazed and still sick state was that it was somehow my fault that the dishwasher didn't wash some of the dishes and I did something wrong or hit the wrong button. They didn't consider the fact that the dishwasher could have just been on its period and had decided that it was not in the mood to wash things today. Still I didn't know how to combat the dragon seeing as I didn't even have a shield as my word of mouth explanations didn't seem to dent the scales. I know what buttons I pushed, and they were correct. This development turned into a usual fire storm of barking at me and melted down to me having to ask my mother every time I want to wash the dishes. Which is very counter productive as she works from 4-9 every single day except on Saturdays where she works from 9-9.
The point of the matter is, is that I am sick, and tired, not of my parents really ,as they are like this twenty four seven. I mean I am literally sick and tired. So this task that I have been set to clean my room today to prepare for my mother's lunatic sister and her equally but less so lunatic daughter is going to be a task in itself. I haven't even had breakfast yet. To be honest though my brain is a bit to scrambled for that.
